Both Teams Get Their Campaign Underway
Both the Delhi Capitals and the Kings XI Punjab will be excited for this match as they get their 2020 IPL campaign underway, but there will be some nerves about too. After all, nobody wants to lose their opening game of the tournament.
Neither of these have actually won this tournament before and, to be honest, we do not think that either of these teams will be lifting the trophy come the end of the tournament. However, they will both want to put in a good showing for their adoring fans.
Delhi Capitals Players to Watch Out For
Jason Roy: If you look up the word explosive in the dictionary then there is a very good chance that you will find a picture of Roy. When he gets going at the top of the order, the crowd had better don some helmets. The Kings XI Punjab will want him back to the pavilion sooner rather than later.
Kagiso Rabada: He seems like he has been around for ages, but he is still only 24. This shows just how much talent he has. He is one of the best young bowlers in the world at the moment and we think he will cause a lot of batsmen issues in this tournament.
Kings XI Punjab Players to Watch Out For
Chris Gayle: He might be 40, but he is still one of the most entertaining batsmen in the game. Even fans from opposite teams love to watch him bat. If he gets going in the opening four overs, then he will get his team off to an absolute flyer. There are not any who can hit the ball as far as he can.
Sheldon Cottrell: He is another West Indian that combines a great personality with some great cricketing skills. In the 88 T20 domestic matches that he has played he has picked up 123 wickets at a very impressive average of 19.15. He will be the one bowler that the Delhi Capitals will be wary of.
Who Do We Think Will Win?
These two teams are pretty evenly matched on paper, but home advantage is something that counts for a lot in cricket. Therefore, we think that the Delhi Capitals will win, but not by much.
