The IPL points table is pretty cramped, with eight of the ten teams in with a chance of claiming one of the four Play-Off spots. This is exactly what we expected to see when IPL 2022 got underway this March since all of the teams are very evenly matched and any team can beat any other team on their day. The 43rd match of this prestigious competition will see the Gujurat Titans take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore, and below we are going to provide you with our prediction of who will win the game.

Gujurat Titans Team Preview

The Gujurat Titans are sitting at the top of the table with seven wins from eight matches, and they also have a healthy Net Run Rate of +0.371. This is something that could come in handy come the end of the Group Stage, since if two teams are tied on points, then their final position will be decided based on who has the higher NRR. In other words, the NRR could be worth an extra point come the end of the Group Stage.

In their last match, the Gujurat Titans took on the Sunrisers Hyderabad and won a thrilling match off of the last ball. The GT won the toss and decided to field first, hoping to be able to restrict Kane Williamson's men to an average total. However, they did not manage to do this thanks to a 65 from 42 balls by Abhishek Sharma and 56 from 40 balls by Aiden Markram. Come the end of their 20 overs, the SRH had managed to get 195 runs on the board - a challenging total to chase down.

Mohammed Shami was the pick of the GT bowlers, picking up three wickets for 39 runs from the 4 overs that he bowled. Yash Dayal also bowled really well, conceding just 24 runs from his 6 overs, and picking up the vital wicket of Markram. Lockie Ferguson was their most expensive bowler, going for 52 runs from the 4 overs that he bowled, while Rashid Khan was unusually expensive, conceding 45 runs and going at 11.25 runs per over.

When it comes to sports betting, it is safe to say that online cricket betting has become really popular due to the fact that punters have so many different markets that they can place their money on. One of the most entertaining markets, in our opinion, is the Top Bowler marker, and we recommend that you try it out every now and then since the odds on offer are always good.

So, who do we think will end up being the top bowler for the GT against the RCB? Well, we would still be tempted to put our money on Khan, despite the fact that he was smashed over the park in the last match. He is a quality bowler, one of the best in the competition, and we would be mightily surprised if he conceded as many runs this time around too.

When it was their time to bat, the GT knew that they would have to bat at the top of their game if they were to stand any chance of claiming another two points to keep them at the top of the table. They got off to just the start that they needed thanks to a 68 from 38 balls by Wriddhiman Saha. However, they then lost 3 wickets for 18 runs, so the nerves started to kick in. However, a 40 from 21 balls by Rahul Tewatia meant that they went into the last over needing 22 from 6 balls to win the match. Marco Jansen would have backed himself to defend these runs, but Rashid Khan smashed three sixes, including two off the final two balls, to win it for his side.

Another thing that we like to bet on when we are doing some IPL betting is to try and predict the Top Batsman for a team since there are always top odds available. So, when it comes to the Top Batsman for the GT, who do we think will score the most runs? Well, we would recommend that you put your money on David Miller since he has been having a fine tournament to date - he has scored 237 runs from 8 matches at an average of 59.25 and has a strike rate of 149.06. So, if you want to make such a bet, we recommend you put your hard-earned money on the South African.

Do we think that there will be any changes to the GT playing XI? Well, considering the fact that they are sitting at the top of the table and that they have all been playing very well, we do not think that the GT selectors will make any changes to their playing XI.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Team Preview

The Royal Challengers Bangalore are sitting in 5th place in the table with five wins from the nine games that they have played. They are equal on points with the Lucknow Super Giants who sit in fourth place, but one thing that they have going against them is that they have a really bad NRR - it currently stands at -0.572, which is the worst NRR out of any of the ten teams.

Their last match of the campaign was against the Rajasthan Royals, and they went on to lose the match by 29 runs. The RCB won the toss and decided to field first and knew that they needed to restrict a talented RR batting line-up to a sub-par score in order to win the match. They actually managed to do this, restricting the RR to 144 runs from their 20 overs.

Thanks to some fantastic bowling from Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj, and Wanindu Hasaranga, who all picked up two wickets apiece, helped to reduce the RR to 102/6 from 15 overs. However, some big-hitting from Riyan Parag, who smashed 56 runs from 31 balls, helped his side to a score of 144, which was probably still at least 15-20 runs short. Hazlewood was their best bowler on the day, picking up 2 wickets for just 19 runs from his four overs, giving him an economy of 4.75.

When it comes to IPL betting sites, there is one market that you will always find, no matter what one you decide to sign up with, and this is the Top Bowler market. If you are thinking about placing a bet on the Top Bowler for the RCB against the GT, who would we recommend you put your money on? Well, we would opt for Hazlewood because we he is a quality bowler who has the ability to land the ball on a challenging line and length time after time. In the five matches that he has played, he has picked up

10 wickets at an average of 13.60 and an economy of 7.16.

With just 144 runs to chase down, the RCB batsmen would have been quietly confident of chasing it down, but the RR always have a quality bowling unit, and they were bowled out for 115 runs, to lose the match by 29 runs. By the time that 12.4 overs had been bowled, they were on 72/6, still needing another 73 runs to win the match. They just could not cope with the bowling skills of Kuldeep Sen, who picked up 4 wickets for 20 runs from the 3.3 overs that he bowled. Ravi Ashwin also bowled really well for the RR, picking up 3 wickets for 17 from the 4 overs that he bowled.

The top scorer for the RCB was Faf du Plessis, who scored 23 runs from the 21 balls that he faced. When your top scorer in a game is only scoring 23, it is not likely that you will go on to win the match. Virat Kohli has been very poor in this year's Indian Premier League, and he failed once again, scoring just 9 runs from the 10 balls that he faced. All in all, the RCB will be very disappointed that they did not manage to chase down a sub-par score, especially since they were bowled out for 68 against the SRH.

If you want to make an IPL prediction on the top batsman for the RCB in this match against the GT, then who would we recommend you put your money on? Well, there is one batsman that has been scoring runs consistently for the RCB, and that is du Plessis. In the 9 matches that he has played, he has scored 278 runs with a strike rate of 128.11. So, if you are going to be making such a wager, then we recommend you put your money on the South African.

Do we think that the RCB will make any changes to their playing XI against the GT? Well, we really think that Kohli does not deserve to be playing at the moment considering his form, but it is highly unlikely that he will be dropped. We reckon he will be given another chance to open the batting and remind us all of just how good he is. We think that they will field the same XI for this match as they did against the RR.

Toss Prediction

During the first half of the 2022 IPL, the toss of a coin played a big role in deciding the team that would go on to win the match, since the team that bowled second had a huge disadvantage because of the dew. However, it would seem that things are starting to even out a bit more with dew being less of an issue. For example, three of the last five games have been won by the team that lost the toss, while earlier on in the tournament, the team that went on to win the coin toss won 14 out of the first 20 matches.

However, despite the fact that it seems to be less of an issue now, teams are still deciding to field first when they win the toss. This is probably because they are wary of the dew coming back and having a major impact on the match. Thus, our toss prediction for this game is that the captain that wins the coin toss will opt to field first.

Pitch Conditions

This match will be played at the Brabourne Stadium, where the average score batting first during this IPL season has been 174.5. The team that has batted second at this venue in the 2022 IPL has won 60% of the time, which is yet another reason why we feel that the winning captain will opt to bat first. The team that has to bat first will look to put a score of around 190 on the board and will hope that will be enough to claim two points.

Our GT vs RCB Betting Tips

This match today is one of those that can go either way, and this is highlighted by the bookmakers since they have given both sides the same odds of winning this game. We could sit on the fence here and tell you that you have a good chance of winning by betting on any of these teams, which you do, but we do not like to sit on the fence here. Thus, the side that we predict will win is the Gujurat Titans. Why have we given you this match prediction today? Well, it is because they are sitting at the top of the table for a reason - they have been the best team to date and have quality in both their batting and bowling units. The Royal Challengers, on the other hand, has struggled with their batting as of late, and this could go on to cost them once again.
