The 11th match of the IPL 2022 sees the Chennai Super Kings take on the Punjab Kings, and we are expecting to see another thrilling match. So, who do we think will go on to win this match and claim two vital points in their quest for a Play-Off berth? Well, keep on reading and you will find out our IPL prediction of who will win this game.

Chennai Super Kings Team Preview

The Chennai Super Kings, who are the reigning champions, were one of the favourites to go on and win the Indian Premier League, but they have got off to the worst possible start, losing both of their first two games, meaning that this is a game that they really need to win.

In their second match of the competition, they took on the newcomers, Lucknow Super Giants, and many expected that they would go on to win the match quite comfortably, and this feeling would have been strengthened at the halfway stage when they scored 210 from their 20 overs.

Robin Uthappa was the teams top scorer hitting 50 from 27 balls, while Moeen Ali hit a quickfire 35 from 22 and Shivam Dube hit 49 from 30. Then, the likes of Ravi Jadeja and MS Dhoni both chipped in with some fast runs towards the end of the innings.

If you want to do a bit of online cricket betting and want to put some money on the top batsman for the Chennai Super Kings in this game, then we would suggest that you put your money on Uthappa. He has been in good form as of late and gets the added advantage of batting in the Powerplay when there are some fielding restrictions in place.

The batsmen did their job by scoring over 200 runs, but the bowlers let the team down greatly. Their best bowler on the day was Dwaine Pretorius who picked up two wickets for 31 runs from the four overs that he bowled. Dwayne Bravo also did not perform too badly, picking up a wicket and conceded 35 runs from four overs. However, Mukesh Choudhary and >b>Tushar Deshpande were expensive, conceding a combined total of 79 runs from the 7.3 overs that they bowled while only picking up one wicket. Ali and Dube bowled an over apiece and conceded 39 runs and picked up no wickets.

So, if you would like to do a bit of IPL betting on the player that will be the best bowler for the CSK against the PBKS, then who would we suggest you place your money on? Well, we suggest that you go for Pretorius as he seems to be their most in form bowler at the moment and will have plenty of confidence under his belt going into this match.

What about the playing XI for the CSK in this match? Well, Adam Milne sat out of the last match because of a side strain and if he has overcome this, then we reckon he will come back into the team. Who will he replace though? We think Choudhary will be the man to make way.

Punjab Kings Team Preview

The Punjab Kings played the Kolkata Knight Riders in their last match and lost by six wickets, meaning they have one win and one loss from their first two matches.

The Punjab Kings were put into bat against the Kolkata Knight Riders, and they just never managed to get going with the bat. With just under 15 overs on the clock, they found themselves eight wickets down with just 102 runs on the board, and it was at this stage that they probably realised that they had little chance of winning this match. They managed to scrape a total of 137 runs from 18.2 overs, which was a below par score on that wicket.

Their top scorer on the day was Bhanuka Rajapaksa who scored 31 from 9 balls, while Kagiso Rabada chipped in with 25 from 16 balls further down the order. Mayank Agarwal was out in the first over for one run, while the likes of Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Chahar, and Arshdeep Singh were all out for a duck.

The best IPL betting sites will provide their customers with exciting odds for the player that will end up as the top scorer for the PBKS, so who do we think you should put your money on? Well, this is never an easy bet to get right, but we would consider putting our money on Livingstone to top score for the Punjab Kings. He has yet to really get going in this tournament, and we feel that this next match could be the one where we see some fireworks from him.

The bowlers had nothing to defend in reality, and most of them bowled like they knew that there was no chance that they would go on to win this match. Chahar was the pick of their bowlers as he conceded just 13 runs from the four overs that he bowled and picked up two wickets in the process. Rabada also bowled okay, conceded 23 runs from three overs and picking up the one wicket. Odean Smith bowled just two overs and conceded 39 runs, while Livingstone bowled just three balls and conceded 13 runs from them.

If you want to make an IPL prediction for the best bowler for the PBKS in this game, then we would be tempted to place our money on Chahar as he has proven his skill already this tournament and we see him having another good match this time around as well.

Do we think there will be any changes to the playing XI in this game? Well, Jonny Bairstow has joined the PBKS and although Rajupaksa has played well in the first two games, we feel that he will be the player that will make way for the Englishman.

Toss Prediction

This match will take place at the Brabourne Stadium, and we feel that the captain that goes on to win the toss of the coin will decide to bowl first. This is because there has been quite a bit of dew factor in the other matches of the IPL, and this will firmly be in both captains' mind when the toss is done. When there is dew, any target becomes chaseable, so we would be surprised if the winning captain opts to bat first. If you want to find out more about the toss prediction, then read our guide.

Pitch Conditions

So far in this 15th edition of the Indian Premier League, the wicket at the Brabourne Stadium has produced a number of high-scoring matches, and we do not expect anything to change this time around either. We expect to see a flat wicket that offers little to the bowlers, while being a bit of a batting paradise for the batsmen. Thus, we would be quite surprised if the runs did not flow on Sunday evening. The team that bats first will be looking to smash a score somewhere in the region of 180-190 to give themselves a very good chance of going on to win the match.

Our Match Prediction

So, who do we predict will win this match today? This is not an easy match to predict, and a lot will depend on the toss of the coin and who has to bat first, but our match prediction today is that the Punjab Kings will go on to win the match. However, if they are put into bat first, then you might want to consider putting your money on the Chennai Super Kings. We have gone for the PBKS though because we feel that they are in slightly better form, but this really is a match that could go anywhere.
