Our Match Prediction

IPL betting is exciting because it is a fast-paced competition and we have already seen how fast the tables can turn! The Kolkata Knight Riders were sitting near the bottom of the table after the first half of the 2021 IPL, but they have come out swinging in the second half and have surprised everyone with their performances. They are now sitting in the top half of the table, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad will be looking to emulate them when they take on the Punjab Kings in the 37th match of the 2021 IPL. Who will win? Sunrisers Hyderabad Team Preview

The Sunrisers Hyderabad were in a spot of bother at the start of this second part of the 2021 IPL, and their opening defeat to the Delhi Capitals has pushed them deeper into the muck. They desperately need a win if they are going to stay alive in this competition, but many IPL cricket fans have probably given up on them.

The SRH have played eight games so far and have won only one of them. To add to this, they have a net run rate of -0.689, which is really poor. Even if they do manage to get some wins under their belt and move up the table, it is likely that they will be done over by their poor net run rate. However, they need to forget about the net run rate and concentrate on getting some wins, which seems quite impossible at the moment.

Against the DC, they lost early wickets and it was clear that Manish Pandey and David Warner are out of form. This meant that it was down to Kane Williamson to take his side out of the much, but he soon perished due to the pressure of having to score quick runs. Some cameos from Rashid Khan and Abdul Samad helped them to put up somewhat of a fighting score, but the Delhi Capitals batsmen made light work of it.

Not only do they have on-field problems, but they also have off-field issues because T Natarajan tested positive for Covid right before their previous game was due to start. Despite this, they still have a decent bowling unit thanks to the likes of khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, and Jason Holder bowling quite well. If their top order batsman can put on a show, then they have what it takes to win matches.

Punjab Kings Team Preview

The Punjab Kings are fighting it out for that fourth spot, which is something they have become accustomed to doing down the years. Despite the fact that they lost their previous match, they still have their destiny in their own hands, but another loss would see things get a bit hairy. They have gotten into a habit of losing from winning positions and this is something they will definitely be wary of on Saturday.

They were so close to getting their fourth win of the season in their last game, but they let the Rajasthan Royals back into the game and went on to lose. This defeat means that they now sit in seventh place, bit they are still in business. A win on Saturday will more than likely take them up to sixth spot, and then they can crack on from there. They will be wanting to improve their net run rate though as it current sits at -0.345.

The Punjab Kings did almost everything right in their last match but bottled it in their last two overs - they needed only eight runs from their last 12 balls, but contrived to lose the match by two runs. Despite this, they can take many positives from the match.

The main positive was the way that their bowlers bowled at the death. The Kings are known for giving too many runs away at the end of an innings, but Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Shami bowled very well to limit their opponents. Aside from the bowling, the way that KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal batted at the top of the order would have caught the eye.

While it is tricky to find a clear weakness in their team, we would not be surprised if Deepak Hooda misses out in this next match. He did not do much with the bat and conceded plenty of runs, so we think that Shahrukh Khan might be the player to take his place. We might even see Ravi Bishnoi take the place of Ishan Porel given the small dimensions of the stadium.

Toss Prediction

The captain that calls the coin toss correctly will more than likely opt to bowl first. Sharjah is a small venue and defending a total, no matter how big, can be pretty difficult. We are sure that whoever wins the toss will want the advantage of knowing what their target is when they are batting.

Pitch Conditions

There is no threat of rain since the stadium is in a desert. The wicket should be good for batsmen thanks to the carry and bounce that it is expected to have. Additionally, the small size of this venue makes it a great place to bet because it is easier to clear the boundaries - in the IPL last year, more sixes were hit at this venue than any other one.

Our Match Prediction

Both these teams have left their fanbase disappointed for a number of reasons. While the Kings have lost games from winning

positions, the Sunrisers have been pretty poor right from the very start. Both teams lost on their previous outings and will be raring to get that winning feeling back. If we consider how both of these teams have performed in the tournament so far and the squads that both have, we would put our money on the Punjab Kings to win.
