The West Indies will continue their tour of India with the final One Day International of a three-match series. The score currently stands at 2-0 to India, so this game is a dead rubber. However, having said that, India, after their recent struggles in ODI cricket will be looking for a clean sweep, while the West Indies will be desperate not to be whitewashed. So, who win this match? Read on to find out our opinion.

India Team Preview

The India cricket team has a balanced top-order at this moment in time with KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav all having put in good knocks in the series so far. In the second match, India experimented by having Rishab Pant open the batting with Sharma, but it did not really pay off because he struggled to time the ball well and scored 18 from 34 balls. Although, to be fair to him, it was not an easy pitch to time the ball on. Shikhar Dhawan is set to return to the team for this third ODI, so he will open the batting and Pant will drop down to number four.

If you are considering doing a spot of online cricket betting in this match and are looking for a market to place your money on, we would recommend that you bet on Virat Kohli to top score. He has had a lean series to date, but you cannot keep a player of his class quiet for long, and we think he might get a big score in this final ODI.

Indian fans might have thought that 237 was not enough against this powerful West Indies batting unit, but it was actually a pretty decent score on that wicket. Any thoughts of a West Indies win was duly crushed by Prasidh Krishna picked up four wickets and conceded just 12 runs from the nine overs that he bowled. Mohammad Siraj was also impressive when bowling with the new ball, and he went for just 38 runs from the nine overs he bowled.

The spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar came into the action in the middle overs and helped to choke the West Indian batting line-up, picking up a couple of wickets between them in the process. Although, as we said above, this is a dead rubber, we do not expect the Indian team to experiment too much, and would not be surprised if we saw the same bowling attack.

If you want to bet on the top Indian bowler at cricket betting sites, then we can see Krishna doing damage once again, so you should think about putting your money on him.

West Indies Team Preview

The West Indian batting line-up has been going through a bit of a rough patch for some time now, which is surprising because they have a lot of talent in their team. There are not many teams out there, apart from maybe England, that can match the West Indies in six-hitting ability and a long batting order. However, it has just not clicked for them in this series yet.

Keiron Pollard sat out of the second match because of a niggle, but if he has overcome this slight injury then we expect to see him reinstalled back into the playing XI. Odean Smith was the man who took over for Pollard in the second ODI, but we think he will keep his place after his bowling performance. We believe that Kemar Roach will make way for Pollard if he is fit to play. Apart from this, we do not see the West Indies making many changes to their line-up.

The West Indies bowlers all put in a good shift against a talented Indian batting line-up, so no fault can be put on them for the defeat. The truth is that the batsmen have been letting their bowlers down for some time now - you cannot score fewer than 200 runs in an ODI nowadays and expect to win. Roach was one of the most expensive bowlers, which is why we said he will be dropped for Pollard.

If you want to make a cricket match prediction on who will take the most wickets for the West Indies in this third match, we will consider putting money on Alzarri Joseph.

Coin Toss Prediction

In the previous two matches, the captain that won the toss, Sharma in the first and Nicholas Pooran in the second, opted to field first. When you look at the previous results for batting and bowling first, it is practically neck and neck, so there does not seem to be much of an advantage. So, based on what has gone before, we think the captain that wins the toss will opt to field first.

Pitch and Conditions

The weather should not be an issue, and we expect to see a similar kind of wicket to what we saw in the first two matches - one that is pretty sluggish. This means that we do not expect a high scoring match, with the team that bats first aiming for a score somewhere in the region of 250.

Our Match Prediction

So, what is our prediction of who will win? Well, we cannot look at anything other than a win for India as in the first two matches they have shown that they are much superior to the West Indies. The men from the Caribbean will not find themselves winning many matches if they cannot sort out their batting line-up.

India to win
